Sustainability is now ever more relevant to business owners as growing awareness of environmental pressures change the way we produce and consume.
The Green Pavilion, in its third year at International Furniture Fair Singapore 2014/31st ASEAN Furniture Show, well demonstrated the concept of sustainability in the business environment, in the form of a “Garden”. It conveyed the importance and feasibility of environmental conversation to industry players by displaying 10 SFIC members’ success stories of adopting green initiatives.
Curated by award-winning designer Jarrod Lim, the Green Pavilion was a key attraction to inspire and provoke the thinking process of moving towards sustainability in businesses. It immersed visitors in a tranquil oasis through exciting cardboard features by Triwall (Asia) Pte Ltd, lush living green walls by Chop Ching Hin Pte Ltd and eco-friendly astro-turf by Green Turf.
Visitors have also benefitted from the two seminars held, learning more about sustainability initiatives and certifications such as FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), GreenGuard, PEFC, SGBC (Singapore Green Building Council) and SEC (Singapore Environment Council).
