The world’s most spectacular
and most watched auto motor event – The
Winning Formula One – came to Singapore
early at the SFIC 26th Annual Dinner and Dance
held on 28 September 2007 at the Raffles City
Convention Centre.
Close to 600 ‘drivers’
from the furniture and related industries, various
trade associations and statutory boards came together
for the event, fully geared for the night. Rounds
of cocktails were served as starters, allowing
guests to network and exchange the latest news
in town. Pre-dinner cocktail activities also kept
guests entertained before the start of the dinner.
Guests were then taken on an
exhilarating ride by the energetic entertainment
twin show hosts as they engaged the guests with
exciting games. This year, the lucky draw prizes
consisted of tour packages to Gold Coast, Taipei
and Bangkok as well as a plasma television, high-end
mattresses and many other attractive gifts, courtesy
of our generous sponsors.
While guests enjoyed the good
food and indulged in the fun-filled evening, they
also did their bit for charity by raising funds
for the Simei Care Centre through the purchase
of art pieces and handicraft items. In addition,
SFIC presented each guest with a specially commissioned
furniture-themed mug, handmade by the Centre residents.
