Once again, Singapore
Furniture Industries Council step forth to lead representatives
from 10 distinguished Singapore furniture companies to
explore beyond the geographical boundaries and set its
eye onto the untapped markets of Eastern Europe. Supported
by International Enterprise (IE) Singapore through its
International Marketing Activities Programme (IMAP) as
well as SPRING Singapore, the team visited Hungary, the
Czech Republic and Poland.

Pte Ltd, Univonna Pte Ltd and Valencia Design Pte Ltd.
Vice President of SFIC who is also the Managing Director
of Jaco Furniture Ptd Ltd - Mr Jerry Tan, led the Singapore
delegation on this conquest.
Within the 9 days on ground,
the team explored the three countries, visited a mix of
retail outlets as well as meetings with major furniture
importers, retailers, manufacturers and trade associations
In particular, Singapore
delegates attended a meeting with the heads of the Association
of Czech Furniture Manufacturers and the Poland Chamber
of Commerce to explore potential tie-ups between Singapore
and the two republics. Our team also met up over 100 polish
and foreign companies from the furniture and interior
design sectors during a “Business Mixer”,
business networking session jointly organized by SFIC,
the World Trade Center Poznan and the Polish Information
Centre in Latvia.
The mission proves to
be an excellent platform for the Singapore furniture companies
to share and exchange ideas with its international counter
parts. Singapore furniture companies can now explore partnership
opportunities and seek out new business leads in the three
countries.
