DECEMBER 2019 FEATURE:

Your Library of Tomorrow at ArchXpo 2019

A first-time participation for SFIC, ArchXpo has offered another avenue for future partnerships and direct access to the architectural community.

Following the heels of the successful NEXGEN Urban Living showcase by SFIC at the International Furniture Fair Singapore 2019 this year, another curated SFIC showcase has made a special appearance at ArchXpo 2019.

This time, the spotlight has been cast on the understated heroes of design – innovative materials and services that bring everything together in hospitality, commercial and residential spaces.

Your Library of Tomorrow featured a collection of seven premium furniture/furnishings brands: Benel, Decor Fan, Ewins, Neupanel, Wall Studio, YZ Timber and Zenterra. Curated by Benel’s Avelyn Teo and Teo Ying Xuan, a Design Academy of Eindhoven graduate, the installation with its strong customer-centric product line-up was a key highlight at the show.

Its sixth edition and held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, ArchXpo 2019 is a key pillar of the Archifest series organised by SIA and its sixth edition. Co-organised by the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) and Conference & Exhibition Management Services Pte Ltd, ArchXpo is an international trade fair with a focus on interior and exterior finishes as well as interior design, building-related materials, products, services and new technologies.

For YZ Timber, one of the participating brands, the experience has been enriching enough for it to subsequently join as a SFIC member. A specialized parquet supplier established in 2007, YZ Timber’s client base includes local installers and end-users. The ArchXpo showcase has offered the company an opportunity to promote their new parquet that differs from traditional parquet. It is versatile enough to be used as flooring or wall paneling. YZ Trading hopes designers, architects, and end-users can get to know about their new parquet.

A first-time participation for SFIC, ArchXpo has offered another avenue for future partnerships and direct access to the architectural community. A joint networking session with the Society of Interior Designers, have also proved fruitful for the participating brands, bridging both worlds sharing a common goal.
