Welcoming new members to the SFIC Family
SFIC's membership programme extends beyond the furniture and furnishings trade.
Close to 20 members from the Contract Manufacturing, Manufacturing, Retail, Design and Supporting Industries clusters have joined the SFIC family this year.

Homegrown furniture and homeware brand SCENE SHANG is a (stylish) example. Offering affordable handcrafted furniture that rework Chinese design aesthetics and elements into contemporary furniture design, it aspires to create meaningful furniture that will help craft new stories to be passed on through the generations as treasured memories and family heirlooms. A familiar face, the up-and-coming label had participated in past editions of SingaPlural and is also one of the brands under FLAUNT, an SFIC e-commerce initiative that was launched this year.

Royal Treatment - The Kingsmen Experience
According to its Group Managing Director Mr Anthony Chong, only a handful of companies can deliver quality and service across all creative disciplines at an international level and Kingsmen is among the best of them.
The best airport in the world recently opened its newest Terminal, T4 to the public on 31 October this year. Nestled within the swanky new terminal lies a garden that showcases the unique integration of nature and technology.

SFIC member, Kingsmen Exhibits Pte Ltd, is the creative force behind the 6m-high centerpiece – Steel in Bloom, a towering, organically shaped steel structure that no visitor can miss.

Scanteak Leverages Business Excellence Framework to Transform
According to Ms Jamie Lim, Scanteak’s Regional Marketing Director, Scanteak's management believes that the BE framework is a holistic management tool that provides the company with a tested and proven methodology akin to an introspection.
Transforming the business has always been a priority for the House of Teak. Established in 1974, the local company started out as a furniture distributor. With good foresight of market trends and in-depth knowledge of customer preferences, it moved into producing quality teak furniture, and launched its own brand – Scanteak in 1988. Over the years, the company expanded its footprint into Brunei, Taiwan, Japan, USA, Canada and Germany.
