The Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC) and the Singapore Retailers Association (SRA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support workforce transformation and capability development across their respective industries.

Singapore has set a new regional benchmark in tackling VOCs emissions and elevating indoor health standards with the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC)’s enhancement of the Sustainable Furniture Mark. Building on existing Level 1 formaldehyde standards, this Mark expands on the framework for indoor air quality, by targeting emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including formaldehyde, in furniture.

SFIC presents the Urban Living Showcase 2025 at Archifest 2025 with five featured collections addressing urbanite challenges of limited living space, sustainability, health & wellness. Supported by Enterprise Singapore, the showcase not only addresses the needs of urban living, but also demonstrates how purposeful design can drive business — unlocking new potential for market differentiation, growth opportunities, and collaboration across related industries.
