Formed SFIC on 10 July 1981 as the official representative body of furniture manufacturers and exporters in Singapore.
Also represented Singapore in the ASEAN Federation of Furniture Manufacturers Association (AFFMA), now known as ASEAN Furniture Industries Council (AFIC).
